In case you wanted to see what my puppy, Enza, looks like and what my own dorky voice sounds like.
Here's one from August, this little guy was at a pound my family visited before getting Enza and were looking for a possible new pet. The video explains it all, and yes, that is my voice inbetween "meows"

I have found it, I have found my theme song to my life! And it's in Japanese! Go Figure!
my personality, my style, my hopes and aspirations, my philosophies just about every thing! About 90% of this song relates to my life, even down to the 10 o'clock comdedy show. (actually it's 11o'clock but I digress)
But what get me, I really aspired and try my best at everything I do, emphasis on try. Because of the high standards I set for myself, I often find myself disspointed and discouraged with the work I normally do, but despite that, I always keep trying, and not let my limitations stand in my way and hope
This song has been helping me a lot with my pre-college application gitters. I feel that whenever I try to life a pencil to work on a portfolio piece, I over analize and am critical of everything:
"You're not good enough at animals to get in."
"You've studied anatomy for 2 years and you're still not ready."
"You're cartoon style sucks. It's not original. They won't like it"
"Am I really ready for this leap in my life?"
But whenever I listen to this, I know that whatever happens in the end, all I can do is keep trying and do better next time, until I get to where I want to go!
Okay, I will stop my sappy rant over a cutesy song now. Say whatever you want, but I feel a lot better about myself for sharing this with all of you.

OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD. SOMEONE ON WEBCOMIC OVERLOOK REVIEWED GUARDIANS AND THOUGHT IT WAS AWESOME.
Seriously, my brother just walked into my room and told me someone on webcomic reviews just gave it 4 out of 5 stars!! I was spazzing out so much, I stand to read it. But apparently he called it "witty and smart" and some other nice things I think.
But really, I am just so flattered that somebody really like what I've done so far with this comic. I feel like I've only just started, heck, I'm not even finished with the first chapter! Things haven't even gotten good yet!!
Really, thank you so much kind person for reading and liking my work. I can't even fathom how thankful I am to you.
My mom is sending me the link to my computer as we speak, so I'll keep you posted!!

Wish me luck as a strap on my "headband-of-awesome" and crack my knuckles in anticipation of the long, tedious, and mind exhausting task that awaits me tomorrow morning.
I have spent all freaking week prepping for this, I better do fraking well for all my effort!!
Also, it was my mother's birthday the other day! We had dinner at a delicous Italian restaurant right in town. Oh my godness, they had the most delicious Alfredo with veggies EVER. Pure delicosity!
And apparently it was also my animation teacher's birthday as well. He brought in a scrumptious chocolate and sponge-cake cake with strawberries.
People who know me well know I have a big sweet tooth, especially if it's free, and I also like to make a dork of myself and rush full speed to the goodies yelling "CAAAAAAAKE!"
But this was animation class where many of my friends were with me, so natrually I feel much more comfortable being silly than I would in sat my English or Math class. I do have some standards
So, to make a long story short, in my excitment/clumsiness. I tripped on a backpack on the floor and my right legg was pretty sore afterwards. But I had cake! So it was all good.
And since I feel I need to share something more. I've been listenign to the band "Pomplamoose" I've been working to their music for the last few days and It's the perfect thing to chill to after a tiring day at school.

Song: Shut up and Explode by Boom Boom Satellites
Got these little things from a place called Muzicons! These are super fun to make!
AND HALLOWEEN WAS SUPER FUN! I went trick or treating for the fist time since I was 14 and made an awesome, laste minute costume. I was a dead-bride and my friend Miriam helped me with the costume.
I have photos but my computer isn't reading the memory card for some reason :( Nothing's working right anymore!
And today was pretty sweet, I got a lot of SAT studying done today and afterwards I got to sit down and finally watch my Spirited Away DVD while eating avocado and cheese sandwich, so all an all a pretty nice day :D

Anyways, I wanted to know if anyone is going to the CTN Animation Expo.
So far I'm considering going because well, I love animation and I only live about 45 minutes from Burbank. But what I'm mostly curious about is what to expect, who's gonna be there, what events are the best to go to, is there anything there that's so special and cool I have to see, stuff like that.
If anyone of my LJ peeps is going I'd love to know before I buy tickets. I think it's one of those events that are more fun if you go with friends than with parents.
Here's the site in case people are interested! : http://www.ctnanimationexpo.com/
And in other animated news, guess who got tickets to see The Princess and the Frog at Disney Studios? The person writing this journal, that's who!

OH YES, I AM EXCITED.
I PROMISE TO SHARE MY MAGICAL ADVENTURES WITH ALL OF YOU!

1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)

3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that’s playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button

And I've already made a new friend! :)
The sucky thing is I've already fallen back into the old school scheduel, summer is already just a fading memory :(
And I'm also concerned that I wont get the next two pages of Guardians done by next week with school stuff. The only time I can really focus on it is during the weekend. I'll try my best but I can't give any promises!

And to ask a similar question I asked last year, what were your senior years like?
Meeeeeeh....I feel like writing more but I just feel tired and slightly depressed that my summer is ending D:

It sounds like something from a Tim Burton film but I looooves this song.
I so dang excited for Immy's new album on the 26th!
And I have been doing a lot the last week and haven't updated about it!
Inshort:
- My mom and me decided to take the Greyhound Bus from LA to Phoenix. Very unpleasant experience but still an OK one.
-Stayed w/ grandparents in Arizona from Mon-Fri
- Saw "Julia and Julia", such a cute movie! It made me wanna cook something!
- My step-grandfather treated me to a bottomless root-beer float at Johnny Rockets after the movie and I felt kinda sick afterwards but It was so tasty!
-Stopped at an Artsy, old fashioned ex-mining town in the mountains called "Jerome" Very pretty scenery and buildings and I bought a really cute vintage Kelogg's sign for $12
- Wed- Woke up with a sore throat but that didn't stop me from going to Barnes & Noble and perusing their comics. My nose started to get runny and more throat hurt more as I went to Wal-mart and picked out some new pants and a new sun-dress.
- Bought Coraline 2-disk edition,
-Also bought Special Edition Iron Giant and Wallace & Gromit DVD's for $5 each. Score!
-Thusday my head cold was in full swing, but I didn't want to spend my last day at my grandparents house so we tried going to the mall but the head just made things un-bearable so we went home :(
- I did have a nice Italian dinner that night where you got to customize your pasta order. Yummy
- Back on the bus to LA by 3 and home by nearly 12:00 am.
- Saw Ponyo on Saturday: SO CUTE. I'm so happy to see a 2D movie in theaters and seeing kids so excited to see it.
- Saw District 9 the next day: DEAR GOD, THAT MOVIE WAS ONE OF THE MOST GRODY AND GOREY MOVIES I'VE EVER SEEN AND ALSO ONE OF THE MOST AWESOME. I'm glad I had the stomach to see it to the end.
Kind of a case of movie whiplash with that one.
School starts in a week, and I'm a gonna be a senior! Kind of interesting how I started this journal when I was a freshmen now that I think about it and probably will keep it long from now.
This video also really made my day...
Andy Samberg and Will Ferrel, you silly gooses, I love you :D
God, this is awful...
I knew it was time. He had been suffering all summer, he couldn't walk, couldn't contol when he went to the bathroom (which resulted in some nasty late night cleanups) , he didn't eat and he didn't act like the playful little pup I loved.
I had him since he was just a puppy and he was always my baby. My mom especially heart broken because she was the one who really took care of him when we gave him chemo and cleaned up after him.
The house feels so empty now. Needless to say I cried buckets.
This has just been a summer of DEATH. First Copper dies, then all those Celebrities, my old friend Alanna, and now my best animal friend and beleoved dog is gone...
I'm gonna go back to drowning my sorrows in junk food and tea now..

OMG, PRETTY NEW CONCEPT ART FOR RAPUNZEL. IS..IS THAT PAUL FELIX'S WORK!
More pretties <a href="http://www.iwatchstuff.com/2009/07/d
On Another Note: Anyone else find it incredibly awkward and weird when your parents or other family members read or look at your artwork and comics?
I always freak out or shield my eyes when my immediate family looks at my art or reads my comic or looks at my art!
Seriously, I don't know why!
Am I a lonely soul in this conflict, or are there others who share my pain? :(
